S1:E2 Script Preview 2 (CONTAINS SOME LANGUAGE)
Gil: Tell me about...(sees Ren and Stimpy on the couch)...oh my god...
Cigarettes: What?
[Cigarettes looks at the couch, and his eyes widen.]
[The camera turns to Ren and Stimpy, who now have bloodshot eyes and sweat dripping down their cheeks.]
Gil: You guys need to stop playing Contra so much. How far did you get?
Ren (rasping): The Jungle...
Gil: You couldn't get past the first stage!? Here, let me show you how it's done!
[Gil takes Ren's controller and beats the game in thirteen minutes (the scene cuts to the end after Gil has played for 10 seconds).]
Gil: I'm going to my room. (exits the scene)
[Ren, Stimpy, and Cigarettes stare at the screen in awe.]
Cigarettes: Holy fucking shit...

Ren and Gil's Friendship/Conflict (More Detailed)
Ren has beat up Gil numerous times in the series, though only so many of them are officially planned out by the script writer, Gilbert Martinez. Below is a list of the times Ren has beat up Gil that have been planned out by Gilbert. They are not in chronological order.
1. In "Car Trouble," Ren starts mauling Gil because Gil didn't know how to stop the car. Ren even attempted to kill Gil by slamming his head through the driver window.
2. In "Justin Bieber Arrives In Houston," Ren mercilessly bludgeons Gil to death with an oar in Gil's bedroom due to performing with Justin Bieber.
3. In "Aw-Shits!" Ren cripples Gil by beating him with one of the camp guards' guns. The guards approve of the fight and do nothing to aid Gil. Gil is left with a black eye, multiple bruises and cuts on his arms and body, and bite marks on his arms and face.
4. In "Paw," one of Ren's booby traps is activated, and thirty steel rods impale Gil, thus killing him.
5. In "The Fucking," Ren kills Gil by cutting into Gil's chest with an axe.
6. In "Inventors," Ren beats Gil to death because Gil played "Happy Happy Joy Joy" out loud in front of him and actually had him like it.
7. In "Rabies 'R' Us," a rabid Ren bites Gil, and the rabies kills Gil in a few seconds.
However, despite the many times Ren has beat Gil, sometimes to death, Ren truly does care about Gil.
1. In "Funeral," Ren hugs Gil when Gil learns about his grandfather's death as Gil cries.
2. In "Relations," Ren tells Gil that he really does care about him. His words move Gil to tears.

Friendship of Svën and Gil

Svën and Gil started out as acquaintances, but became friends when Svën had to return to Sweden for the first time in "Svën's Heartfelt Goodbye," when Gil comforted him into returning to Sweden. Later, Svën returned the favor when Gil and his friends had to return to Washington from Texas in "Be Back Soon!" by saying, "You'll see them again," and then putting his arm around Gil's shoulder. They both see eye-to-eye because they are both considered minorities by many. Gil is Mexican-American, and Svën is Swedish. Svën is more gentle than the others, but at times Gil can be just as gentle.

Friendship of Gil and Hemp
Gil and Hemp share the same age in years, with them both being thirteen. The only difference is that Hemp was born on March 28, 1997 (just like the real-life Daniel Golden); Gil was born on May 12, 1997 (just like the real-life Gilbert Martinez). Gil often goes to Hemp for advice on how to go through certain situations successfully. After all, Hemp comes from a place where everything happens, just like his older brother Cigarettes. Hemp consults Gil for help trying to understand everything about sexual behaviors and intercourse. (Gil is portrayed as a metaphorical encyclopedia in the show.) The two also share the same sense of humor; in "This Is HUMOR!!!" Hemp starts telling Gil's algebra class a sex joke, and Gil told the punch line at the precise time.
