Ren and Gil's Friendship/Conflict (More Detailed)

Ren has beat up Gil numerous times in the series, though only so many of them are officially planned out by the script writer, Gilbert Martinez. Below is a list of the times Ren has beat up Gil that have been planned out by Gilbert. They are not in chronological order.

1. In "Car Trouble," Ren starts mauling Gil because Gil didn't know how to stop the car. Ren even attempted to kill Gil by slamming his head through the driver window.
2. In "Justin Bieber Arrives In Houston," Ren mercilessly bludgeons Gil to death with an oar in Gil's bedroom due to performing with Justin Bieber.
3. In "Aw-Shits!" Ren cripples Gil by beating him with one of the camp guards' guns. The guards approve of the fight and do nothing to aid Gil. Gil is left with a black eye, multiple bruises and cuts on his arms and body, and bite marks on his arms and face.
4. In "Paw," one of Ren's booby traps is activated, and thirty steel rods impale Gil, thus killing him.
5. In "The Fucking," Ren kills Gil by cutting into Gil's chest with an axe.
6. In "Inventors," Ren beats Gil to death because Gil played "Happy Happy Joy Joy" out loud in front of him and actually had him like it.
7. In "Rabies 'R' Us," a rabid Ren bites Gil, and the rabies kills Gil in a few seconds.

However, despite the many times Ren has beat Gil, sometimes to death, Ren truly does care about Gil.

1. In "Funeral," Ren hugs Gil when Gil learns about his grandfather's death as Gil cries.
2. In "Relations," Ren tells Gil that he really does care about him. His words move Gil to tears.
